A Few Things
I just wanted to take a moment and go over a few things we talked about on Sunday.
We will now be enforcing all of the discipline rules we went over at the start of the season. To review:
1. 10 pushups will be given for every minute that someone is late to rehearsal unexcused. The pushups will be done by the entire section. The individual that was late will do an additional 10 pushups. Note: this does not mean walking in the door right on time. This means having your instrument set up and ready to go at the start of the rehearsal. I would highly advise arriving about 15 minutes early. So if rehearsal starts at 7:00, you should be at the school no later than 6:45. This will allow you time to get your instrument ready, as well as help get the tarp set up. This has been a MAJOR problem so far this season. I truly believe that we have not started 1 rehearsal on time yet this season.
2. Playing/marching beyond the point that you are instructed to stop will result in 10 pushups for that individual. I always announce the measure we are starting and ending several times, this means you must listen to instructions.
3. Hacking(playing when you are not supposed to) will not longer be tolerated at any level. Hacking is disrupting to the entire group. Instructions and critique can not be effectively given or received. Hacking will also result in 10 pushups.
These rules are NOT new. They have always been in place, but simply not enforced as they should be. It is also important that the leaders withing the group step-up. You must set a good example for others to follow.
If you have any questions please fell free to contact me.

Here is the schedule for Sunday Feb 12.
Rehearsal at THS- 9:00-10:45
Load trailer- 10:45-11:15
Leave THS-11:15
Arrive at Kettering-12:00
warm-up- 12:51
Perform-1:19

Leave Kettering-4:00ish
Back at THS and unload-5:00ish
It is expected that all students will ride the bus to and from all performances. However, if there is a need for a student to not ride the bus, I need a note from a parent. Also, if a student is leaving a contest early, I can only release the student to his/her parents. That is school policy and is the same rules as during marching band.
